Finding Nemo Workheet Today we worked on a fun activity to show our knowledge of symbiotic relationships. Your job is to create a "Want Ad" for a symbiotic relationship. Read one of the the articles at the end of this post. Use the information that you read to create your "ad". Your "ad" should include the following: 1. catchy headline to grab attention 2. descritpion of relationship 3. who you are (which organism) 4. type of organism you need 5. why you need the orgamism 6. why you will give the other organism 7. a picture of you 8. a picture of the other organism 9. a picture both of you together 10. nice/neat/colored Here are a couple of examples: Pick one of these articles to get information for your "ad".
Today we learned about symbiotic relationships and talked about examples of each type. A symbiotic relationship is the interaction of 2 different organisms living together where at least 1 benefits. We took these notes in our notebooks. Yours should look something like this.
We also completed a worksheet to practice what we learned about symbiotic relationships. Symbiosis Worksheet Today we discussed our Science Education Fair Display Presentations including some things that should be included on your boards. Remember the fair is on February 3rd. Please click on the Science Education Fair tab above to see more information. We also watched Bill Nye Food Webs as an introduction into our next unit. |
