We were in the lab today looking at the relationship between changes and energy. If you were absent, use the data below to complete the lab. This is the result of the first experiment. The substance turned yellow, produced a gas that made the bag blow up and also made it very hot. This is the result of mixing calcium chloride and phenol red. The substance went pink in color and was very hot. This was the result of mixing sodium bicarbonate and phenol red. The substance was very cold and turned pink in color. This is the result of mixing sodium bicarbonate and calcium chloride together. We added 3 mL of water to it as well. The substance was hot and produced a gas.
